The nursery is situated in the grounds of the Katherine Semar Infant School. We operate within a purpose built unit which was specially designed to provide an optimum learning environment for children.
The Nursery is open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, closing for bank holidays and the Christmas period.
The Nursery provides care and education for children aged 2 - 5 years. Full and sessional hours are available to allow parents to choose attendance suitable to meet their individual needs.
First and foremost Meadows aims to provide a safe, caring environment that caters for the growing number of parents who appreciate and understand the need for good day care for their children. Our primary aim is to give our children self confidence that will, in turn, assure them of a worthwhile place in our society.
Our ideas on curriculum are inclusive of recent research and the Governments Early Years Foundation Stage; as well as incorporating Montessori methods of teaching.
The technology of computers is widely used in the school.
As well as following the Montessori teaching method we combine our knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage alongside the work of other child theorists to provide all children in our care with a varied and balanced learning programme.
All Staff are highly qualified, motivated and supported in the continuation of their professional development.
